About me

I’m Zdenko Podlesnik, an amateur photographer from Slovenia. I have been interested in photography long before the digital era. I started with Zenit and Practica, the last analog camera I owned was Minolta and then digital photography came along. In 2000 I bought the first compact digital cameras FinePix6800zoom, then the compact Sony DCS-V1. Since 2007 I’m using Pentax DSLR cameras. In May 2021 I replaced the Pentax with Sony alpha.

Two of my great passions in life are travel and photography that’s why I mostly take wildlife, birds, nature, and landscape photos. With new photo equipment, portraits are a new challenge.

In 2010 I had my first solo exhibition “Life in Costa Rica”, second solo exhibition in 2019 “Nature in my camera”.
